As you may know, over the past few months, Connect Ohio has been working closely with the State Library of Ohio, the Ohio Public Library Information Network and the Ohio Library Council to develop a statewide federal stimulus application to benefit the public computing centers at public libraries across the state.

If this application is successful, it would provide a potential funding source to upgrade and or expand the public computers at each library location and would also enable the creation of 264 technology education centers across the state.  A Technology Education Center, or TEC, is a public computing center that also offers high-quality computer, Internet and broadband applications training delivered by knowledgeable instructors on modern equipment.  TEC locations will be strategically located throughout the state, to best serve the citizens of each county. 

In order to develop a viable application, Connect Ohio needs to gather supplemental data from each Ohio library location.  Please take a few minutes to complete the online survey at the link above for each library location in your library system.  We’ve designed the survey to be simple, precise and straightforward in order to streamline the data collection.
